Cheesy Hash Browns Redux/Update

I've made the cheesy hash browns again.

They're still delicious. Halved the butter and sour cream and almost forgot to salt and pepper it.

Anyway, I wanted to post a picture!:

Hope you all have had a great holiday! -I know I did! Don't go too crazy out there!

Later Lovelies!

Concealer Review

I've got a couple of concealers hanging around my makeup collection that I thought I'd review for you.

Eyes Only:
The Neutrogena Healthy Skin Brightening Eye Perfector is ok. Definitely brightens. Not bad coverage... Haven't noticed any other benefits. Honestly, I like the cooling sensation of the Garnier Skin Renew Anti-Dark Circle Roller. Garnier's coverage is about as comparable. Extra points for a cool (literally and figuratively) roller ball instead of a brush. The brush on Neutrogena's concealer doesn't get gross near the end, but it definitely doesn't make me happy.

Concealing Anything:
Now, I don't really need to review these, but I've found Maybelline's Fit Me and Revlon's PhotoReady are truly great. The reason why I don't need to get in-depth with these is because YouTube Guru, Tati has already recommended them. Let me just say that I stand by her review. I would have to say that I do like Revlon's a tid bit better due to the thicker consistency. I feel like the cream stick actually covers and stays. I think Maybelline has a FitMe cream stick that I'd be willing to try.

Revlon PhotoReady is great for undereye circles!

Happy Thanksgiving, loves!

Peep Show

I re-watched Peep Show, and by-God, I almost forgot how hilarious it is! Ends after 8 seasons without closure. All us Peep Show fans can do is hope for (another) reboot.

This is one of those shows that Netflix kept showing as "You may be interested in..." and one day I finally clicked it. It did not disappoint.

Peep Show is a very random British show that takes us into the very different, yet equally twisted minds of Jez Usbourne and Mark Corrigan.

Twisted in a gut-splitting kind of funny.

Half-hour long episodes, it's an easy weekend binge. Free on Hulu too!

Go check it out!!!

Oh, and here's a random drinking game for it!:

  • When the TV is on...
  • For the duration of a kiss...
  • When Super Hans does drugs...
  • When Jez refers to himself as a musician...
  • Feel free to drink when someone says the opposite of what's on their mind...
  • Finish your drink when someone gets married.
  • When Jez is wearing his army jacket...
  • When someone has facial hair...
  • Finish your drink when an animal dies...
  • Finish your drink when Mark is sexually accosted...
  • Drink while someone drinks.

Insanely easy, insanely rich cheesy hash browns.

Forgot to take pictures, but this recipe of Cheesy Hash Browns is the bomb dot com.
2 lbs hash browns
1 stick / 1/2 C butter (melted)
1 10 1/4 oz  can Cream of Chicken Soup
1 pint sour cream
1/2 C onion (I used red)
2 C cheddar cheese (grated)
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper (really just to taste)

Basically, mix it all up in a bowl and put in a 11x14 pan and bake at 350 for 45 minutes.

Soooo simple!

It was so rich, I would half the butter, soup, and sour cream, and add maybe even twice as much cheese. Red onions give it more of a zing!

Please enjoy this Google searched image of Cheesy Hash Browns:

And now, make them for yourself! It's stupidly easy.

Good night, lovelies!

What I'm reading...

Game of Thrones is going swimmingly. I'm going to take a bit of a break and let my SO re-read them before I get to book two, since I've been nursing this book since spring.

Going to re-read 1Q84... Want to read more Hurakami.

Gave up on reading Happier. It's basically a study on what makes us happy, but ironically enough it wasn't making me happy reading it. More of a chore, really.

Want to read The Hunger Games novels, too. So much to read, so little time.

Hope you've all had a great Halloween!

Mine was pretty lazy.:
Put on a mask, wore black, and called it a day.

I've been on a salad and sandwich kick lately... hooray for being healthy!

I love taking pictures of salad because they're so colorful!

Brought back the avocado fries, and enjoyed a steak.
As for sandwiches, I've been enjoying basic ham and turkey with provolone, melted in the oven with Sriracha mayo and an onion bun. The mayo and buns actually complement each other pretty well.

Out of sheer desperation, I made a BLT with the onion bun and added some of the Sriracha mayo, and it turned out pretty well. I didn't mention that Tap House makes their BLT with Hawaiian Bread, and that is also pretty tasty.

Beautiful weather today.

Stay happy, Lovelies!

Enjoy the fall!
